Terms of Service
Effective date: 26 October 2026
These terms apply when you use Opozor: the website opozor.app, the web app, the API and the apps that connect to it ("the service"). By making an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
How we handle personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
Opozor is provided by Šori rešitve, Daniel Arthur Hawton, s.p., Slovenska cesta 56, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia, registration number 7543727000, tax number 28722795 ("we", "us"). Contact: support@opozor.app.
2. The service
Opozor sends notifications. You publish a message to a topic with an HTTP request, and the devices and browsers that subscribe to the topic receive it. Opozor works with the ntfy apps and API.
Opozor is not an emergency service. Messages can arrive late or not at all, for example when a phone is offline, when an app or an operating system holds them back, or when our service is down. Do not use Opozor as the only way to warn about danger to life, health or property.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old. To buy a paid plan, you must be at least 18, or act for a company.
- Give a working e-mail address and confirm it. We use it to log you in, for password resets and for messages about your account and payments.
- Keep your password and your keys secret. Anyone with a key can publish or read with it. You are responsible for what happens in your account, unless it was used without your permission and you did not cause that by being careless.
- If you act for a company, you confirm that you may accept these terms for it.
- You can delete your account at any time in the web app. This deletes your topics and messages at once.
4. Rules of use
You must not use Opozor to:
- send spam, or messages that the receiver did not ask for,
- send illegal content, or content that harasses, threatens or deceives people (for example phishing),
- attack, overload or test the security of our servers without our written permission,
- get around the limits of your plan, for example with many free accounts,
- resell the service as your own without our written permission.
Topics that anyone may read (public topics) are public. Do not put personal or secret data in them.
5. Plans and limits
Each plan has limits: messages a day, topics, and how long messages are kept. They are shown on the pricing page. When you reach a limit, further messages are refused until the limit resets.
We may change the Free plan at any time. For a paid plan, we tell you at least 30 days before a change that is worse for you. You can then cancel before it takes effect.
6. Payments
- Paid plans are subscriptions, paid monthly or yearly in advance, in euros. We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added: the price you see is the price you pay. They renew by themselves at the end of each period until you cancel.
- Payments are handled by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not see or store your card details.
- After each payment we send an invoice to your e-mail address. You also find your invoices in the web app.
- When you change to a bigger plan, you pay the difference for the rest of the current period at once. When you change to a smaller plan, the unused part of the current period is kept as credit for your next payments.
- If a payment fails, we try again for a few days. If it still fails, your account goes back to the Free plan.
- We may change prices. We tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies to you. You can cancel before that.
7. Cancelling and refunds
- Cancel at any time in the web app (Account, "Plan and payment"). Your plan stays until the end of the period you paid for, and we charge you nothing more. Then your account goes back to the Free plan.
- 14 days, money back. Within 14 days of your first payment for a paid plan, you can ask for a full refund of that payment. E-mail support@opozor.app from your account's address. We refund within 14 days, to the card you paid with, and your account goes back to the Free plan.
- After those 14 days, and for renewals, we do not refund the current period, except where the law requires it or where the service did not work because of us.
Right of withdrawal (consumers in the EU)
If you are a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The period starts on the day you buy the plan. To withdraw, tell us clearly, for example by e-mail to support@opozor.app. You can use this model form, but you do not have to:
To Šori rešitve, Daniel Arthur Hawton, s.p., Slovenska cesta 56, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia, support@opozor.app: I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the following service: Opozor, plan ____. Ordered on: ____ Name: ____ Account e-mail: ____ Date: ____
When you withdraw, we refund all payments for the plan, without delay and at the latest within 14 days, to the same payment method. Under the 14-day rule above, you pay nothing for the days you used.
8. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep Opozor running, but we cannot promise that it is always available or free of errors. We may stop it for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We may change, add or remove features. If we stop the service, we tell you at least 60 days before, and refund the paid time that is left.
9. Suspension and ending
If you break these terms, we may block keys or topics, limit your account, or close it. We decide in proportion to what you did, and we tell you why, unless the law does not allow it. If we close a paid account because you broke these terms, we do not refund the current period. If you think we decided wrongly, e-mail us within 30 days.
10. Liability
- We are fully liable for damage that we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health.
- On the Free plan, we are not liable in other cases, as far as the law allows.
- On a paid plan, our liability in other cases is limited to damage that is typical and foreseeable, and to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the damage, as far as the law allows.
- We are not liable for lost or late messages, as explained in section 2, as far as the law allows.
Nothing in these terms limits rights that you have as a consumer and that cannot be excluded or limited by contract under the law of your country.
11. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. We update the effective date at the top. If a change is important, we tell you by e-mail at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel and delete your account before that.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Slovenia. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live.
If you have a problem, please contact us first. If we cannot agree, you may go to the courts of Ljubljana, Slovenia. If you are a consumer, you may also go to the courts of the country where you live. We do not take part in out-of-court consumer dispute resolution (ADR) procedures.
13. Other terms
- If a part of these terms is not valid, the rest still applies.
- If we do not enforce a right at once, we do not give it up.
- These terms are written in English. If we publish a translation and the versions differ, the version in your language applies where the law requires it; otherwise the English version applies.
